River to Forest Exhibition

For many years I visited the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire particularly to walk around the sculpture trail. I always loved it at any time of year. In 2007 arriving back in the UK from a year in Bali I had the option to live where I wanted and chose the Forest of Dean without hesitation.

I was lucky enough to live in some wonderful places in the area had have a series of beautiful studios.

Life in The Forest

My second move in the area was to a cottage in the heart of the Forest itself. I had a warm and cosy studio in the garden which I made into a meadow and the forest at the end of the garden. It was a magical time.

I later moved to a much larger studio and into the beautiful river side village of Newnham on Severn.

 Exhibition at The Sanctuary Gallery

Things do go in circles, don’t they? There is a new art gallery in the vibrant village of Newham on Severn and the owner has asked me to exhibit there as part of her River to Forest exhibition. I’m delighted to be taking part and the show will include 5 of my forest/tree paintings in an exhibition by local and award winning UK artists, inspired by the natural beauty of the estuary valley and forest landscape.

The gallery is the Sanctuary Gallery, High Street, Newnham on Severn. The private view is on 3rd November, all welcome. The show runs from Saturday 4th November to Saturday 23rd December 2023. For more details of the other exhibitors and the opening times of the gallery have a look on their website Sanctuary Gallery
