Three Ways to Add Texture

For the art collector looking to learn more about my painting techniques, I have a range of methods I use to add texture. Sandpaper, heat lamp, and water sprays are among the most popular, each with its own unique set of benefits. Sandpaper reveals different layers and colours, while a heat lamp helps lock in individual colours and creates a bubbling effect. Water spray helps keep surfaces wet while painting and breaks up the surface, creating pits for deeper colour. To see the texture in action, check out my artwork – and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions!
