January Primrose 016
One of the first signs of spring. These delicate pale yellow flowers have been a delight in the sunny days we’ve had in January. I’ve depicted them with the winter sun and on a background inspired by the walls of Spain.
This is a 10x10 inch (25.5 x25.5 cms) mixed media painting on a cradled wooden panel. The materials used include acrylic paint, ink, pastel and metal leaf. The surface of the painting is protected by 3 coats of varnish and finished with a layer of polished wax for a lovey soft sheen.
